Governance, and Executive Committee:

Membership of SIDPA is open to digital only news organizations, freelance journalists. The SIDPA executive committee consists of a total of 8 members. One President, Vice President, General Secretary, Joint Secretary, Treasurer each and three executive members. All executive committee members to be picked with a term of 2 years, and are elected in an annual meeting.

Amendments:

No amendment or alteration shall be made in the purpose of the association unless it is voted by 2/3 of its members present at a special meeting conveyed for the purpose and confirmed by 2/3 of the members present at a second special meeting

 

Terms of Executive Committee:

The president, vice president, secretary, joint secretary and treasurer shall be elected to two-year terms and shall not serve two consecutive terms in the same capacity. The individual may run for a different office in immediate next term, and may run for the same office after one term.

 

Removal:

As per Legal Body recommendations, Members of the association may be removed or suspended for cause at any time by a two-thirds vote of the executive committee.

If the ownership (control) of any of the founding organisations changes, the organisation under new ownership will reapply and unless otherwise decided, be reinstated and stay as a founding member.
